The plans benefit from close proximity to the strategic rail freight interchange at the SEGRO Logistics Park and will deliver a range of employment opportunities for local residents.
Before submitting a planning application to West Northamptonshire Council, Harworth Group is seeking feedback from the local community. A website, www.harworth-junction15.co.uk, has been launched and includes information on the proposals and a survey for those who would like to get involved.
A spokesperson for Harworth Group said “We are pleased to announce our plans for a new employment site off Junction 15 of the M1.
“We have designed this scheme to help meet the needs of a modern economy, with up to five new business units that will be net zero carbon in construction.
“Northamptonshire has historically lagged behind other parts of the UK in delivering high-skilled jobs, and our plans will help to close this gap, creating a variety of job opportunities across skill levels.
“We want to hear from the community to get an understanding of their thoughts on the plans and what their priorities are when it comes to delivering new jobs for the area”.
