Discover Nottingham's Secret Library

Established in 1816, Bromley House Library in Nottingham is often referred to as a hidden gem and one of the city's best kept secrets....until now!

Gallery and Spiral Staircase - Bromley House Library.

Opening their doors on a Sunday so more people can view and experience this amazing building and its collection of over over 50 thousand books and a delightful walled garden.

Our Summer Sunday tours are running on Sunday 8th June and Sunday 6th of July. View the library on a top to bottom guided tour for about an hour, discover our collections, hear some of the secrets from the shelves and view some of our rare and unique books with a member of staff.

The library has many rooms to discover, each with its own personality and atmosphere - and some with unexpected surprises (but we don't want to spoil it) Explore our walled garden before or after your visit - perfect antidote to the bustling city centre. The library is closed on a Sunday, so coming on a tour you really do get to see the library behind closed doors.
