A home care company in Newark is expanding after receiving its Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration.

SureCare Newark is now able to provide local people with a full range of domiciliary care, live-in care, respite and holiday care, and dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Until now, the company, which is based at the Aura Business Centre in Manners Road, had only been able to provide unregulated services such as companionship, shopping and cleaning.

SureCare Newark is led by former electrical engineer Douglas Esson supported by Registered Manager Lindsay Marshall, who has over 20 years’ experience in the care sector.

Douglas, who lives in Nottingham, said: “We are excited to now be able to offer a full range of home care services.

“Our focus is on delivering high quality, person-centred care to people living in the Newark community which will enable them to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible,

“We already have a small team who have been delivering the unregulated services since we launched in August last year, and we are now recruiting care workers to deliver the regulated care packages.

“We expect to create jobs for at least 50 people over the next couple of years as the business grows.

“We want to become known as the go-to provider of home care services and support services in our area.”

Douglas is also chairman and trustee for the Kakraba Foundation Trust, a charity that provides education and support services in Nottingham.

He added: “I know from first-hand experience of caring for my mum, who is a vulnerable person, what a difference the right care can make. She is very proud of what we’re doing to help other people who are in need of high quality home care services.”

SureCare is one of the UK’s fastest growing care companies with branches and franchises around the UK.

The company is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has three decades of experience in the home care sector, with franchises across the UK delivering quality care and support for all stages of life’s journey.
