Three leading professional services brands – full-service law firm Shakespeare Martineau, planning, design, heritage and development consultancy Marrons, and M&A advisory firm Coadax – are relocating their Nottingham office as part of a strategic investment in their people, clients and long-term commitment to the city.
The brands, which are part of top 50 legal and professional services group Ampa, are set to relocate from their current ground-floor space at Waterfront House, Station Street, to a newly-refurbished larger third-floor office in the same building.
The new 8,680 sq ft office – up from 7,180 sq ft – will support modern, agile working through a variety of work settings for more than 110 people, including desks, ‘touchdown’ zones, collaboration benches, acoustic booths and flexible meeting space.
A six-figure investment is being made into the fit out of the new space, which is due to open in early summer 2025. The new hub will also create opportunities to host more client events, offering a refreshed and welcoming space for connection and collaboration.
Roger Harcourt, partner and head of the Nottingham office, said: “This move reflects our commitment to our people and Nottingham. We want to create a dynamic and future-ready workplace that enhances our employee and East Midlands client experiences.
“We’re not going far – just upstairs – but the change will be transformative in how we use our space, interact as a firm and deliver for our clients. We remain absolutely committed to Nottingham for the long term and this investment underlines that.”
Andrew Gore, partner head of Marrons in Nottingham, added: “Our new space gives us the flexibility to think bigger and work better – not only with each other, but with the growing network of clients and partners we support across the East Midlands.
“It’s a modern, creative environment that truly reflects the work we do and the values we hold as a team. We’re excited to continue growing in Nottingham and welcome more people into our space as we expand.”
Shakespeare Martineau, Marrons and Coadax are B Corporations and the new Nottingham office space will align with their sustainability principles, incorporating upcycled and sustainably sourced materials where possible.
The brands have a strong Midlands footprint and continue to grow across the region. Shakespeare Martineau offers a full spectrum of legal services to individuals and businesses; Marrons provides planning, design, heritage and development consultancy services; and Coadax supports businesses navigating complex M&A and strategic challenges.
