Plumbase employees and customers have been raising funds throughout the year through a variety of events. Branch Manager Jim Howell explained how it was a real pleasure to support a local community project.
“We initially heard about Community Kettle when we were approached to see if we could help with the development of the hub from a disused doggy daycare to an Intergenerational Hub.” Jim went on to explain that initially Plumbase were keen to support by providing much needed bathroom facilities however the team were really impressed with what Team Kettle were doing and wanted to help more.
The thousand pounds was raised through a variety of fundraiser’s including a Darts Tournament held a Modus in North End.
Daz Summer’s who helped organise the event explained how Plumbase Team, customers and Team Kettle all took part in an afternoon Darts Tournament.
“It was a great event, where we raised over £500 .”
Everyone is now looking forward to the next Darts Tournament which is to be held on Saturday 3rd of May. Plumbase team are keen to increase what they raised last year.
Founding Director Nicole Heard, explained how it was an honour to be presented with a cheque on behalf of Community Kettle and that they were so lucky to have the support of local businesses and the community.
