Ruby, aged 12, took the floor dancing against 65 other dancers in her intermediate section and gained a win. She then danced a Tops of Dance-off against six other winners of their age groups ranging from age 5 to 18, and came away with another win and a dream trip to New York with her dance teacher Ellé Hosking.
A spokesperson from Devotion Arts Dance & Acrobatic School said: "We are extremely proud of Ruby. She has been with the school competing for four years winning many titles. She trains four days a week and attends competitions across the country most weekends.
"This was totally unexpected, the competition was full of talented dancers and teachers and we still feel like it was all a dream."
