Stafford Riverway Link, historic restoration project open days

Stafford Riverway Link, a non- profit making Community Interest Company, are holding two Open Days on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 May to celebrate the great progress the volunteers have made with their efforts to restore Stafford's historical canal link at Baswich. This was originally created in 1816 to enable coal and salt to be transported along the River Sow and into the centre of Stafford at Greengate Bridge. Pleasure boats also used this route into the town centre.

Please come and join us at our Open Days. Much to see and enjoy!

The Open Days, which commence at 10am on both days, will give local people the opportunity to see at first hand, the work that has been completed so far.

The days will include boat trips, a floating market, food, craft and trade stalls with refreshments provided by Titanic Brewery.

Entry to the event is free and there is free parking at the site off Baswich Lane, Stafford.
