The team at Bright Horizons Frimley Green Day Nursery and Preschool recently swapped the classroom for the clouds, bravely taking part in a group skydive to raise vital funds for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

Taking place on May 3, the high-flying fundraiser saw team members leap from 10,000 feet in a show of solidarity and support for the charity, which helps create safe and inspiring spaces for children facing crisis.

Thanks to their courage and community spirit, the team raised over £2,500 to help the Foundation continue its mission of supporting vulnerable children and families across the UK

Tracey, Manager of the Foundation’s Bright Spaces programme, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Frimley Green team for taking on this challenge. Their bravery means more children experiencing trauma or crisis will have access to safe, supportive environments where they can begin to heal. Fundraising like this truly makes a difference.”

Lynsey, Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Frimley Green, added: “It was such a proud moment watching our team take on the skydive. Their energy, passion and commitment to the Foundation is inspiring, and it reflects everything we stand for as a nursery community. We’re thrilled to have played a part in helping children who need it most.”

The jump is one of many fundraising efforts by Bright Horizons teams nationwide, reflecting the organisation’s deep commitment to social impact alongside early years education.

Funds support the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, which creates Bright Spaces - safe, welcoming play areas for children facing trauma, from emergency foster care to legal proceedings. Since launching in the UK, the Foundation has opened over 100 Bright Spaces, supporting nearly 30,000 children.

In 2024 alone, teams raised £140,000 and opened 12 new Bright Spaces, including the 100th milestone site.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Foundation’s ‘BH 20 for 20’ campaign is bringing together nurseries, families, and communities to raise funds and awareness.
