Squire’s Garden Centres has stepped up its efforts to let its customers know its Badshot Lea centre remains fully open and accessible, despite emergency gas works taking place on Badshot Lea Road (junction with Green Lane) in Farnham.

Local road closures are in place while SGN carries out urgent pipe repairs, with a signed diversion via Weybourne Lane and Weybourne Road. The roadworks are expected to last until 10 May.

Brian Philips, Centre Manager at Squire’s Badshot Lea, comments:We’d like to reassure our customers that we’re open and here to help during this time. We’re very grateful to our loyal visitors for continuing to support us while these essential works take place.”

With spring in full swing and a spell of warm, sunny weather encouraging gardeners back outdoors, this is traditionally one of the busiest times of year for garden centres. After several years of unsettled spring conditions, the current weather is inspiring many to get into their gardens — and Squire’s Badshot Lea is ready to help with all the plants, tools and inspiration they need - as well as to meet friends for breakfast or lunch in the popular Café Bar.

Chris Jackman, Town Councillor for Badshot Lea & Moor Park, has been actively helping to inform the community about the emergency works via social media. Chris comments:“It’s great to see Squire’s doing all they can to support their customers during these emergency works. Local family businesses like this are at the heart of our community, and I’m pleased to help spread the word that they’re open and accessible and encourage locals to visit the usual places they support. It’s important to get the message out there.”
