Work underway on new homes in Farnham

Construction work on a new development of housing is well underway as the first homes have been released for sale by the developer in Farnham.

National housebuilder Miller Homes is building a collection of 65 new homes at its Deer Park development, off Hale Road in the town, on a 7.7-acre parcel of land neighbouring Farnham Park.

The developer has now released its first homes for sale at the development, being marketed from a nearby development in Bordon, Mill Chase Park. The housing firm is building a mix of one to four-bedroom homes at Deer Park.

A total of 26 homes at the development will be made available as affordable housing, including seven sold under the government-backed First Homes scheme.

Miller Homes is planning to open a showhome at the Deer Park development this summer, with the first residents set to move into their homes shortly afterwards.

Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director at Miller Homes Southern, said: “The first homes are beginning to take shape at our Deer Park development and we are all looking forward to seeing the land transform into a desirable collection of new housing in a fantastic location nearby Farnham Park.

“We have had such a demand for the homes here that we decided to launch sooner than planned, marketing our first homes from our nearby Mill Chase Park development in Bordon, where customers can speak to the Miller Homes sales team in person to find out all they need to know about our homes in Farnham, before we mark the opening of the site itself this summer.

“Our showhome will open in the summer, and soon after we will have our first completed homes ready for occupation. For anyone who wishes to enjoy living by some of Britain’s best countryside, Deer Park could make that dream a reality.”

Miller Homes is providing a large area of public open space to the north of its site in Farnham, including three separate play areas. Pedestrian and cycleway links are also included within the plans for the site, supporting a biodiversity net gain for the land in addition to the energy efficient new homes to be built by the developer.

Prices for the homes released for sale at Deer Park start from £490,000, and include a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses.
