Bidding war as Coulsdon house needing updating sells at auction

A three-bedroom house needing updating in a popular area of Coulsdon, Surrey was sold at auction after a bidding war this week.

SOLD: 7 The Vale, Coulsdon

Detached 7 The Vale was among 145 lots in the latest auction held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

It finally went under the gavel at £443,000 freehold after sustained bidding at the firm’s auction which ended on Thursday 20 March.

Senior Auction Appraiser and Auctioneer Richard Payne said: “This one really took off with strong pre-sale interest leading to competitive bidding on this detached bay-fronted, well-appointed house now in need of some updating.

“We have ended up with a great result for our vendor, who achieved £93,000 above the lower guide price, and the purchaser who has secured an excellent property with great potential.”

The house is situated in a favoured residential location just off the Brighton Road (A23) in an elevated position and within easy reach of Coulsdon town centre with its comprehensive shopping facilities and amenities.

The house has double glazing throughout and a gas heating system via radiators with gardens to the front and rear. There is a driveway leading to an adjoining garage with parking.
