Drawn by the stunning canal-side location and the welcoming sense of community, the pair are now proud homeowners in the picturesque Bewley development. Both Emma and Irene are now able to enjoy their favourite pastime—walking their six beloved King Charles Cavaliers—amidst the scenic surroundings of Monarch’s Grove.
Irene, who had been looking to move after the passing of her husband, heard about Monarch’s Grove and mentioned it to Emma and together they decided to view the development.
“We were both so impressed by the show home, the landscaping, and the exclusive feel of Monarch’s Grove. I was immediately determined to move here!” said Irene. “Emma fell in love with it too, and before we knew it, we were reserving two properties!”
Emma, an administration leader for a well-known estate agency group, was already familiar with Bewley’s reputation for quality craftsmanship. “I had been living in the same house for 16 years in Frimley, and it was time for a change. We loved the layout and position of the development—it’s open, tree-lined, and right next to the canal. We both knew we could be really happy here.”
Emma chose a two-bedroom semi-detached home, while Irene opted to ‘downsize’ into a four-bedroom detached property. Both were immediately taken with the spacious layouts, modern kitchens, and light-filled interiors.
“The part exchange process made my move incredibly smooth and quick,” Emma explained. “Mum’s move took a little longer as she sold her house on the open market, but it all worked out perfectly in the end.”
Now settled in their new homes, Emma and Irene are embracing their new lifestyle. “The setting is just perfect for us,” Emma shared. “With the canal and green spaces right on our doorstep, the dogs have plenty of room to explore, and we get to enjoy the fresh air every day. It truly feels like home already.”
For Irene, the transition has been equally fulfilling. “I wanted maintenance-free living, and not having a big garden is actually a relief now,” she said.
Despite living so close to each other, Emma and Irene find they don’t see each other as much as they expected. “Mum’s got a new lease of life and she’s always busy,” Emma laughed. “But we make time to walk the dogs together and enjoy a cup of tea afterwards.”
The pair were keen to express their gratitude to Bewley’s sales and site teams. “They were brilliant and made the whole process seamless for us,” they added.
Jo Dixon, Marketing Manager at Bewley Homes, commented: “It’s wonderful to see how Monarch’s Grove has become the perfect home to live for both Emma and Irene. Our goal at Bewley Homes is to create communities where people truly feel at home, and their story is a fantastic example of that. We wish them many happy years ahead at Monarch’s Grove.
