Fishing lodge and lake in Horne go up for auction

A lake and fishing lodge on just shy of an acre of land in the village of Horne, Surrey is set to go under the auctioneer’s gavel in May.

Heron Lodge in Smallfield Road is among 168 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

It is listed with a freehold guide price of £350,000 to £375,000 at the firm’s auction which ends on Thursday 1 May.

Senior Auction Appraiser and Auctioneer Richard Payne said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire a fishing lodge of metal framed construction with timber cladding beneath a cedar wood shingle roof.

“The property is approached via private driveway to landscaped and mature gardens with a private fishing lake to the front.
