Together in Care is a celebration of community support and independent living, offering an opportunity to explore what the future of home care could look like in Spelthorne. Guests will have the chance to meet local service providers and see how compassion, community and innovation are coming together to support people to live well at home.

Attendees can meet a range of local support services offering practical advice and guidance, including:

  • The Greeno Centre – community day support and wellbeing activities
  • Cllr Maureen AttewellShepperton councillor, showing her support for local independent living

Cllr Maureen Attewell, who will attend the event, says:

“This is exactly the kind of care that reflects the heart of Shepperton, thoughtful, local, and focused on keeping people in their own homes and close to their loved ones.”

Lou Cobban, who runs the Guardian Angel Carers Spelthorne branch and lives locally, explains:

“We’re just at the beginning of this journey, but we’ve built these trials around what people here have told us they want: to stay independent, to feel safe and to keep the human side of care front and centre. This is about supporting people in Shepperton, Ashford, Sunbury and across Spelthorne to live well at home for as long as possible.”
