Ratton School, part of the South Downs Learning Trust, showcases a PE curriculum that focuses on inclusivity and participation, ensuring that every student, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to engage in PE and physical activity. The curriculum covers a broad range of sports, from traditional team games, including rugby, football and netball and basketball, to individual sports such as athletics, trampolining and gymnastics. This variety allows students to explore different interests and find activities that resonate with them.

The school’s continued commitment to inclusivity means that adaptations are made to suit the needs of all learners, ensuring that everyone has a chance to participate and succeed.

Ratton also continues to follow the trust’s motto around strength in community, building upon their local club connections and opportunities for their students. A partnership between ERFC and Ratton has enabled an event of this kind to take place, and they will continue to support one another moving forward. This collaboration is great for local young people and further encourages them to keep active and join their local clubs.
