Liam plays for several Darts Team, starting at the age of 10 playing darts in his bedroom with his dad. His dad, Dan Sains could see a special talent and at the age of 14 years old signed Liam up to play darts on a Tuesday Night for Lewes Dart League which raises money for St Peter’s and St James Hospice and MacMillan Nurse.
Liam's talent was spotted and he was asked to play for Men’s Super League in the East Sussex Division on a Wednesday night. Liam had the privilege to be asked to play for Sussex County Youth Darts, travelling around the UK representing Sussex and wears his shirt with pride where Sussex won the league for 2024/2025.
Liam can be often found in his local pub The Tally Ho in Lewes on a Friday Night playing darts with family and friends.
Nicknamed as Liam “HURRICANE’ Sains by his Uncle Dennis however this is still up for debate.
At the age of 16 Liam has already won the Lewes Dart League Men’s Single title for 2024/2025, being the youngest player to win the trophy. This title holds a special place in Liam heart as the day before the final he lost his Grandad to cancer. Using his grandads flights on his darts, winning the title he quoted “This is for you Grandad” looking up to the sky.
On Sunday 26th of January 2025 on his debut he won The Eastbourne Darts Open Youth Competition where he received prize money for his winning.
Liam has won several trophy’s over the last few years, men’s which he proudly displays in his room. Liam is now looking for a few sponsor to assist him with his development and to progress onto the development tour which is play through out the year and to get his tour card to play at PDC level.
