Medi Tech Trust donated baby bottles, teats, and breast pads, which Family to Family will be distributing to other baby banks throughout East Sussex.

The Medi Tech Trust recycling initiative is gathering speed and Bob and Sandra also gave another presentation on recycling unwanted medical supplies that are not used by patients. This talk was given to the Conquest Hospital Support Group for Stoma Patients who meet quarterly at Pebsham Community Centre in Bexhill on Sea.

The Stoma Care Team Nurses lead by Vicky and Hester were joined by Ettienne Viljoen from Hollister Incorporated, a manufacturer for ostomy, continence, wound and critical care products. The team were invited to visit the Medi Tech Trust headquarters to see the amount of recycled supplies and equipment that will now be used in low income countries and war zones instead of ending up in landfill.

All incoming donations are processed by a small team of volunteers and the team are aware that what they are achieving is jut the “tip of the iceberg”. If you would like to volunteer in Hailsham please contact Medi Tech Trust 01323 442211
