Well known in the town for its appearances on the Eastbourne Bandstand, and especially its Christmas Morning Concert by the sea, The Eastbourne Silver Band will be staging its own ever-popular Christmas Concert on December 19 at 7.30 pm.
With the usual venue of the Meads Community Hall not being ready in time, the band has moved to Ratton School in Park Lane for this year’s concert..
A spokesperson for the band said: “Whilst we have used Ratton School for some of our rehearsals, this is the first time that we have staged a concert there.
"However, it has a very large hall that will easily accommodate the band, there is plenty of room to set up small tables for groups to sit around.
"Our concert is more an evening of entertainment and fun rather than what one might normally expect. Unlike the formality of the usual concert halls, this will be set up as a more casual setting in keeping with our vision of relaxation with friends and family.
"With using the entrance from Park Lane to the rear of the school it will allow more than ample off-street parking for everyone."
