Held on the second Wednesday of each month at Sullington Hall in Storrington, Rotary monthly Film Nights regularly attract audiences of 100 and help many local elderly folk and those in isolation enjoy the latest cinema entertainment.
With blockbuster movies like Conclave, Paddington Goes to Peru and The Critic, Film Nights have raised nearly £4,500 this season and over the past 20 years some £35,000 has gone to Rotary charitable causes. The next season commences on September 10th so look out for details.
Accepting the Award Ken said “This Community project just would not happen if Members did not organise and run, the raffle, the bar, the hall set-up, and most importantly the transport, allowing a large number of attendees who are unable to make their own arrangements, to get to the venue. And it is an enjoyable evening out for so many.”
