The announcement was made at an event to celebrate the nBS Foundation’s first year, which also saw the launch of a specially-commissioned photography exhibition featuring local charities and community groups from across the Midlands that have received funding from the nBS Foundation.
Those featured include Clothing Coventry, which supports people experiencing clothing poverty, helping them access essential items with dignity. The nBS Foundation provided funding to enable it to expand its school uniform project, providing free second-hand uniforms to over 4,000 children.
Carriers of Hope, a Coventry-based charity supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants with essential items, community connection, and access to vital services, also featured. The nBS Foundation provided funding to Carriers of Hope to help expand their furniture and recycling projects, providing essential household items to vulnerable people and reducing landfill waste.
Following the event, the exhibition will be moved to npower Business Solutions’ headquarters in Solihull.

The nBS Foundation is the community fund of Solihull-based business energy supplier, npower Business Solutions (nBS), and provides grants of up to £100,000 to not-for-profit organisations within a 50 mile radius of the company’s base on Prince’s Way in Solihull.
It launched in Spring 2024 and has supported 46 projects in the Midlands, ranging from providing funds for new equipment, supporting survivors of domestic abuse and modern slavery, to major sustainability projects such as installing solar panels and grants for electric vehicles.
Applications to the nBS Foundation and the allocation of funding is managed by Charis Grants, an independent organisation specialising in the distribution of financial and product support to vulnerable individuals and community projects.
