Taylor Wimpey is preparing an outline planning application for up to 300 new homes on land north of Longbeck Lane. The proposed development will provide a variety of new homes ranging from two- to five-bedroom homes with 15% designated as affordable housing.
The national housebuilder will hold a public consultation to seek the views of local residents from Wednesday 14th until Wednesday 28th May 2025. During this time, details of the proposals will be available to view at www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/new-homes/new-marske/land-at-longbeck-lane
Participants will also get the chance to speak to members of the project team during a public exhibition event at New Marske Methodist Church on Gurney Street, which will run from 3pm until 7pm on Wednesday 14th May 2025.
Ben Stephenson, Strategic Land & Planning Manager at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “Collating the views of local residents is an essential part of our development process, and we’re keen to gather as much feedback as we can from residents about our plans for a new community in New Marske.
“We understand that not everyone will be able to attend the public exhibition event, so we will be uploading a digital version of the exhibition boards to our consultation website, so everyone can view and review the proposals at their convenience. We look forward to showcasing our plans in due course.”
Feedback from members of the local community will help to shape the outline planning application before it is submitted to Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in June 2025.
